Zeekr has officially launched in New Zealand, bringing its advanced premium electric vehicles to Kiwi roads for the first time. The brand arrives as part of the newly formed NordEast Vehicle Distributors under the Giltrap Group umbrella.
Zeekr is entering the New Zealand market with two flagship models now available for sale: the Zeekr X urban SUV and the Zeekr 009 MPV. The company has also confirmed that the highly anticipated Zeekr 7X will be arriving soon to complete the initial lineup.

The vehicles utilize Zeekr's proprietary Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform and incorporate the company's own battery technologies, battery management systems, and electric motor technologies. New Zealand customers can now visit dedicated Zeekr dealerships at five confirmed locations across the country. In Auckland, the brand is represented at Zeekr Auckland on Great North Road in Grey Lynn. Additional dealerships are located in Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, and Christchurch, providing nationwide coverage for sales and service.
The timing of Zeekr's entry into New Zealand comes as the local electric vehicle market shows strong recovery. Recent market data indicates that electrified vehicle sales including Battery Electric, Plug-in Hybrid, and Super Hybrid vehicles are up 93% in 2025, following a temporary dip after government rebates ended.
