Kuching, 29 September 2026 - Zeekr Intelligent Technology Malaysia (Zeekr Malaysia) has expanded its presence into East Malaysia with the opening of the Zeekr Kuching Pop-Up Store at The Spring Kuching, marking the brand's first retail presence in the region. The milestone represents the next phase of Zeekr's expansion across Malaysia, bringing its premium electric mobility offering closer to customers in Sarawak.
The expansion is supported by Ghee Hua Group of Companies, which signed a dealer agreement with Zeekr in July 2026 at the brand's headquarters in Hangzhou, China. Leveraging Ghee Hua's extensive experience in the automotive and mobility sector, the partnership aims to strengthen Zeekr's presence in Sarawak while supporting the development of premium EV adoption in East Malaysia.
Since establishing its presence in Malaysia in December 2024, Zeekr Malaysia has continued to grow its customer base, surpassing 5,000 owners nationwide in August 2026. This growing momentum has also been reflected in interest from customers in Sarawak, including early customers who chose Zeekr before the brand established an official retail presence in the state.

Located at The Spring Kuching, the pop-up store provides customers with an opportunity to explore Zeekr's model range, including the Zeekr 7X, Zeekr 009, and Zeekr X, while learning more about the brand's approach to premium electric mobility.
The opening ceremony was attended by YB Datuk Amar Professor Dr. Sim Kui Hian, Deputy Premier of Sarawak and Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government, alongside YB Dato Wee Hong Seng, Mayor of Kuching South City Council (MBKS). The event also welcomed business partners, customers, and invited guests to celebrate Zeekr's arrival in East Malaysia.
The celebration also featured a special drive-off ceremony for new Zeekr owners, marking the beginning of their ownership journey with the brand in Sarawak. The ceremony provided an opportunity to recognise these customers and celebrate their confidence in Zeekr as the brand establishes its first retail presence in East Malaysia.

The Zeekr Kuching Pop-Up Store serves as the first step in Zeekr's long-term plans for East Malaysia. The brand is targeting the opening of a dedicated Zeekr Space Kuching (1S Centre) and Zeekr Service Centre Kuching in Q1 2027, providing customers with integrated sales and aftersales support.
In the meantime, Zeekr Malaysia has already implemented its Mobile Service programme across East Malaysia, bringing essential maintenance and vehicle inspection services closer to customers.
