The all-electric ZEEKR X has officially been awarded 5-star ratings from ANCAP SAFETY, the highest possible outcome from one of the world's most respected independent vehicle safety assessment bodies. The ZEEKR X was awarded the most points in each categories compared to all other competitor vehicles entries scoring:
91% Adult occupant protection
87% Child occupant protection
84% Vulnerable road user protection
84% Safety assist
With the Australian debut of the ZEEKR X the result highlights the advanced safety features of Zeekr vehicles. The compact luxury SUV is developed from the state-of-the-art Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) for pure EVs. The ZEEKR X ensures structural safety and supports advanced driver assistance systems through internal anti-collision beams, 360 degree head protection from 7 airbags and an intelligent driver assistance system which includes 5 cameras, 5 millimetre-wave radar devices, and 12 ultrasonic radar devices.
Dual frontal, side chest-protecting and side head-protecting airbags are all standard in the ZEEKR X. A centre airbag provides added protection against occupant-to-occupant interaction in the case of a side impact crash. Autonomous Emergency Braking (Car-to-Car, Vulnerable Road USer, Junction Assist and Backover) as well as Lane Support System with Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK), and an Advanced Speed Assistance System (SAS) with Speed Sign Recognition System are also standard in the ZEEKR X.
There are close to 100 current 5-star ANCAP ratings for alternate-powered vehicles, with most manufacturers proving that new models can be both safe and green.
